The area of Central Europe had been in the last decades marked by radical changes, which has influence all the kinds of political, social, as well as cultural events and movements. We feel the need of a new confrontation between the past and the contemporary; we feel the need of getting know the newly created relationships and the conditions of future development, especially in the area of contemporary art focused on acoustic art and the media.
Therefore we do continue in the tradition of creating the electroacoustic music in Slovakia; using its long-term contacts with several radio centres, festivals and personalities connected to this artistic form in this country, as well as abroad. The times are changing and therefore nowadays we start our active collaboration on this topic also on the platform provided by EBU (European Broadcasting Union).
There are several ways by which such a production has entered the consciousness of local and foreign cultural public and all of them are marked by the boom of the electronics, the information technologies and individual poetica of each composer. In the internet era, our efforts are focused on the project of propagation of this new art form through the radioART-platform (http://www.radioart.sk).
In the Central European area our activities bear a specific features, being currently placed into a contexts whose characteristics has not been sufficiently researched and propagated yet. Thanks to the newly established private studios, recording companies, production agencies, etc., a new possibilities of production and presentation of this music (which has not been sufficiently reviewed even nor in the circles of musical education yet) are to be found and revealed. And so by creating a concept of this Experimental Edition we do also open a new chapter of a creation and propagation of Slovak electroacoustic scene.

Stredná Európa v posledných dekádach dvadsiateho storočia zaznamenáva radikálne zmeny, ktoré zasahujú do všetkých oblastí politického, spoločenského i kultúrneho diania. Pociťujeme potrebu nanovo konfrontovať minulé so súčasným, spoznávať nové vznikajúce vzťahy i podmienky perspektívneho vývoja najmä v oblastiach aktuálneho umenia orientovaného na akustický art a médiá.
Preto pokračujeme v tradícii tvorby elektroakustickej hudby na Slovensku s jej dlhoročnými kontaktmi s viacerými strediskami, rozhlasovými centrami, festivalmi a osobnosťami tejto oblasti tvorby doma i v zahraničí. Časy sa menia, a dnes začíname aktívne spolupracovať s danou témou aj na platforme EBU (European Broadcasting Union).
Cesty, ktorými sa táto tvorba dostávala do povedomia domácej a zahraničnej kultúrnej verejnosti sú mnohotvárne, poznamenané rozmachom elektroniky, informačných technológií a skladateľských poetík. V ére internetu sa naše úsilie koncentruje na projekt medializácie tohto nového umenia prostredníctvom radioARTu (http://www.radioart.sk).
V stredoeurópskom kontexte majú naše aktivity osobité rysy, v súčasnosti postavené do kontextov, ktorých problematika nie je dostatočne prebádaná a medializovaná. Vznikom privátnych štúdií, nahrávacích spoločností, producentských agentúr, atď. sa odhaľujú i nové možnosti produkcie a prezentácie tejto tvorby, ktorá nie je dostatočne reflektovaná ani v hudobno-pedagogických kruhoch. Preto, pri príležitosti koncipovania tejto Experimentálnej Edície otvárame novú kapitolu tvorby a medializácie Slovenskej elektroakustickej scény.
